It’s been a rewarding start to the working relationship, with Vivid fully supporting Sky Sports’ initiatives to progress with sustainable and diverse practices in football broadcasting, working together to find innovations and enhancements. Vivid’s workflow currently sees OB Skye and OB Jura delivering remote and traditional OBs respectively, often with onsite pitchside or studio positions, and sometimes operating simultaneously as part of a ‘double-header’ production. Camera specifications range from 10 to 13, depending on the level of onsite presentation required.
Vivid Broadcast has committed to driving crewing diversity on all contracts, but the WSL in particular provides a dedicated environment in which women are championed both on screen and behind the lens - the crew has females acting in key production, engineering and craft roles, as well as junior positions added where possible - for which Vivid continue their campaign to train from a wide cross-section of backgrounds across the UK.
