Camera Operator / Assistant

We are recruiting a full-time Camera Operator/Assistant with experience in sports production, to join our team. 

This role involves prepping kit at our base in Mayford, Surrey, and working on location across the UK with our OB Trucks and Flypacks. As well as working in sport, you will have the opportunity to train and step up as a Camera Guarantee across a wide variety of productions, including LE, Music, Theatre and Studio.

As an innovative, independent broadcast company and one of the leading providers of ARRI cinematic multi-cam solutions, we offer a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to embrace training and build upon their interest in broadcast cinematic production.

Overview

The role will encompass, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibilities:

  • Prep and maintain camera equipment in the warehouse. 

  • Rig and derig of camera equipment on-site.

  • Collaborate with Unit Managers and Vision Guarantees during production planning.

  • Camera Operate on OB’s across the UK and occasionally overseas.

  • Train to step up as a Camera Guarantee. 

  • Drive camera vans to site.

  • Commit to achieving high craft standards in camera operation.

We run a fleet of smaller crewed remote vans and Vivid will provide additional training for existing driving licence holders to obtain their Cat C1 Licence in order to drive 3.5 to 7.5 tonne vehicles.

You will be expected, supported and encouraged to develop additional skills in order to step up as Camera Guarantee on a wide range of productions.

About you 

We are looking for an operator who wants to develop additional skills with cinematic camera and lens workflows. 

Experience of camera kit maintenance and prep is an advantage, as is in-depth knowledge of various grip equipment, camera settings, formats, and lenses.

This role is open to graduates, although you are expected to have at least some on-site experience in sports production.

The Role 

This is a full-time role based at Vivid’s offices and warehouse facilities in Mayford, Woking, when not working on location. 

Please note, due to the nature of the business, this role involves shift work covering weekends and late nights, sometimes at short notice, for which time off in lieu will be given.

This role will involve handling and lifting heavy equipment, as well as working at heights. You will need to be a qualified First Aider, training will be provided.

You will need to hold a valid driving licence.

Driver / Warehouse Technician

We are seeking a reliable, proactive hands-on Driver / Warehouse Technician to join our fast-paced broadcast team. 

This entry-level position offers the perfect opportunity to step into the world of Outside Broadcast and ideal for someone with a hands-on approach and always on-the-go. 

The Driver / Warehouse Technician is responsible for the safe, timely delivery and collection of broadcast equipment, as well as assisting with the efficient running of the warehouse. 

This role involves prepping kit at our base in Mayford, Surrey, and driving to sites across the UK. We are looking for an experienced driver with a full UK driving licence, who understands logistics, and has a keen eye for detail. This role is key to ensuring equipment is correctly prepped, maintained, and accounted for, supporting the delivery of high-quality broadcast services.

Overview

The role will encompass, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibilities:

  • Deliver and collect broadcast equipment to and from clients, studios, OB locations, and suppliers.

  • Load and unload equipment safely, ensuring items are protected during transport.

  • Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of company vehicles.

  • Complete delivery documentation and maintain accurate transport logs.

  • Assist in route planning and scheduling to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Receive, check, and store equipment, ensuring all items are logged accurately in inventory systems.

  • Prepare and pack equipment for jobs according to kit lists and production schedules.

  • Conduct basic equipment checks before dispatch and upon return.

  • Report damaged or missing items to the Operations Manager or Technical HODs.

  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.

  • Assist with basic maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast equipment under supervision.

  • Label, charge, and test equipment when required.

  • Support engineering and technical teams with equipment prep as necessary.

IIf required, Vivid will provide additional training for existing driving licence holders to obtain their Cat C1 Licence in order to drive 3.5 to 7.5 tonne vehicles.

About you 

You will need to have a full UK driving licence (clean preferred), and have great time management and communication skills.

This role will involve loading and unloading kit, handling and lifting heavy and bulky equipment, as well as working at heights. So this role is ideal for someone who enjoys an active role, where one day is never the same as the next. 

Ideally, you will have experience in a warehouse/logistics environment and is detail-oriented. Experience with asset tracking software, particularly in a broadcast or events environment, would be advantageous.

The Role 

This is a full-time permanent role, working 5 days out of 7 and is based at Vivid’s offices and warehouse facilities in Mayford, Woking.

Vivid Broadcast is recruiting a team of Media Managers/Loggers to support a major weekly sports broadcast contract throughout the 2025 - 2026 season.

This role is on a freelance, non-permanent basis, providing coverage on Saturdays and Sundays (fixture-dependent), from September 2025 to May 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment, with opportunities to contribute to both remote gallery operations and a weekly studio-based highlights show.

The role

The role will encompass, but not limited to:

  • Use the WSL Studios Content Management System (CMS) to log and rough-cut all goals, assists, penalties, and other key match moments

  • Follow a detailed, user-friendly Technical Workflow Document provided for every matchday

  • Assist with remote gallery and studio operations, including general support tasks 

  • Work alongside production and editorial teams in a remote gallery setting

  • Cntribute to studio-based highlights programming where required

All successful applicants will be invited to attend a training day (date TBC) prior to the start of the season.

Candidates should be available for block bookings across multiple weekends.

About you 

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • A keen interest in sports production and an eye editorial/production values

Sound Engineer

We are looking for a skilled, sports-focused Broadcast Sound Engineer to join our team.

This full time position will involve working closely as part of the Broadcast Sound Department, from project inception through to delivery. Based from our facility near Guildford/Woking, you will be responsible for prepping, testing and supporting sound solutions, whether with our flypacks, OB trucks or remote gallery.  

Role Responsibilities: 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support sound guarantee in execution of OB’s

  • Prepping and de-prep of kit at base

  • Confidently interact with high profile clients, directors and producers in the delivery of productions.

  • Set up and maintenance of AV IP-networks including Dante systems

  • RTS and Reidel comms system design, prep and operation an advantage

  • Sound operation and mixing for some OB’s and Flypack solutions

  • Set up, operate, diagnose and solve technical issues on site

  • Provide effective communication and work under pressure to meet client’s needs, and ensure they are delivered to a high standard.

  • At base you will be quick to action repairs internally or externally with manufactures/service centres to ensure equipment is well maintained and ready to be deployed again.

As well as engineering, you will regularly operate and therefore should have a good understanding of audio best practices; sound mixing to broadcast standards for live broadcasts or recorded material.

About you

You must be eager to work on a range of new and exciting projects, using your knowledge and skills to develop innovative engineering solutions with consideration for the latest trends and technologies.

With significant experience in production, you will have a deep understanding of video and audio formats used for broadcast (SDI, Dante, AES, MADI etc) and principles of video and audio transmission as well as broadcast monitoring. You will fully understand workflow for intercom systems including IFBs and mix minuses.

A solid understanding of IP routing and switching and knowledge of Electrical Safety regulations, RTS Telex comms systems and Dante audio systems would be extremely advantageous.

Applicants should have demonstrable experience of audio engineering with knowledge of topics such as microphones, in-ear monitoring, mixing for broadcast, loudness measurements, comms and audio routing.

A relevant engineering or audio degree (or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Unit Manager (Sport)

About the role

  • Handling initial client enquiries and developing the technical needs of a project through the quoting process.

  • Developing great rapport with clients and being the main point of contact, responding to changing needs of the project, and being on hand to answer technical questions as they arise.

  • Carry out detailed site visits to assess best solutions for the production and client.

  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety to address all health and safety requirements.

  • Handle access, parking, connectivity, cabling routes and other considerations required to carry out the OB.

  • Drive multiple projects forward simultaneously, to ensure each one remains on track and within budget.

Vision Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Outside Broadcast Vision Engineer, with a passion for the industry and a love of engineering, to join our fast-growing team.

This full-time position will play a key role supporting a wide range of projects, working alongside staff and freelance Vision Guarantees and ensuring high-quality, best-in-class productions.

Vivid operates a fleet of OB trucks, a remote production centre, dedicated remote units, and flypacks. We work with traditional camera channels and large sensor cinematic production workflows.

Role Responsibilities: 

You will work alongside Vision Guarantees, Head of Engineering, and Unit Managers, helping to provide the best solutions for clients, ensuring high quality broadcast output is maintained, and contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of our facilities. 

The role will encompass, but not limited to:

  • Plan and prep equipment for projects

  • Work as in the field engineer, supporting Vision Guarantees, and working alongside freelance engineers.

You should have demonstrable experience of engineering, with knowledge of systems such as camera channels, switchers and routing control, and you’ll be encouraged to grow your expertise in cinematic cameras, HDR workflow, and IP contribution and delivery. 

Familiarity with Ross Ultrix, EVS, Grass Valley and Sony vision mixers, and RTS comms is an advantage. Ideally, you will have experience in, or looking to develop skills in leading and being responsible for teams or onsite crews.

The role

The role will be based on working 5 out of 7 days.

Largely due to following the football season, this role will include regular weekends and evening shifts and sometimes at short notice, for which you will receive time off in lieu. 

When not on site in locations throughout the UK, and occasionally overseas, you will be working from our Warehouse and Remote Production Facilities in Mayford, Woking.

We're looking for an experienced Outside Broadcast Vision Engineer/Guarantee with a passion for delivering great production and a love for engineering to join our fast-growing team.

This is a great opportunity to join an exciting company; working across major sporting contracts, as well as in theatre, music, fashion, current affairs, red carpet, and international corporate events.

This full-time position will play a key role in helping to ensure the success of each production, building a strong team working to deliver best in class productions. You will work with the Head of Engineering, Production and Unit Managers to understand and deliver the technical needs of our clients.

Vivid operates a fleet of OB trucks, a Remote Production Centre, dedicated remote units, and flypacks. We work with traditional camera channels and large sensor cinematic production workflows. This role will work across all projects with a special focus on supporting our new remote production centre.

Role Responsibilities: 

The role will encompass, but not limited to, the following areas of responsibilities:

  • Work as part of Vivid’s Remote Production Centre (RPC) operations, managing feeds, setting up galleries and supporting the production teams.

  • Guaranteeing OB trucks, remote production vehicles and flypacks across a wide range of projects.

  • Prep, set up, operate, test and check equipment both on site and remotely, communicating effectively with on-site production personnel.

  • Quickly find and repair technical faults, diagnose and solve technical issues as and when they arise with minimum disruption to service.

  • Support and operate IP contribution and online delivery.

  • De-prep equipment for jobs, maintenance, update and servicing of kit.

  • Work with internal systems to streamline kit movement and warehouse organisation.

  • Assist with kit logistics.

About you 

We are looking for an experienced UK based engineer, with a minimum of 5 years experience in the UK OB industry as an engineer and looking to step up into a guarantee position, or an already experienced vision guarantee. 

Experience of working in an MCR or remote production environment is an advantage. 

You should have demonstrable experience of engineering with knowledge of various systems, and you’ll be encouraged to grow your expertise in IP routing and switching, HDR workflow and IP contribution and delivery. 

Familiarity with Ross Ultrix, EVS, Grass Valley and Sony vision mixers, and RTS and Reidel comms.

The role

This is a full time role based at our current facilities in Mayford, Woking. The role will involve travel across the UK, and sometimes worldwide.

The role will be based on working 5 out of 7 days.

This role will include weekends and evening shifts, for which you will receive time off in lieu. We prioritise our crew having a good work-life balance.

Due to our location, a valid driving licence will be needed.
