Car & Driving is the UK’s largest motoring media agency. In 2007, the company decided to expand its editorial services to its clients in publishing and the motor industry with a Road Test Video resource that could provide content for their websites.
This resource would be unique in that it would cover virtually every car, van and pick-up on the market with a high quality presenter-led 8-10 minute film split into easily accessible sections. The programme of producing these was to last three years in its initial phase to build up an early database, then would continue, keeping the library of films up to date.
“This was a rather unique commission,” remembers Car & Driving’s Managing Director Jonathan Crouch. “Any film company can produce a high quality film given enough time and money. Here, we were needing to shoot a large number of films, all to very tight time schedules and to a very tight budget. Yet Vivid have, even so, been able to deliver a very high quality standard. We’re delighted with the library we have and plan to continue working with Vivid to develop it further.”
